The smaller of the two barns, the white barn is where newly purchased Mustangs will be taken too. This barn has been designed with unhandled horses in mind. The barn has twenty stalls, all are 12x12 with sliding doors. each stall has an automatic water. Each stall has an attached forty foot run. The first few feet of the attached runs are under the overhang of the barn to prevent mud buildup at the stall entrance. This barn also has an office used by staff. For the students there is a tack room, decked out with plenty of storage and tack trunks to keep everyone's gear separate and a lounge room to hang out in, grab a drink from the refrigerator or heat up a quick snack in the microwave. Outside there are two large wash stalls, which are large enough to get a horse used to water without having them feel confined. Once horses are more broke, you're welcome to tie or cross tie them in the wash stalls. |

The Red barn is where student brought horses and gentled mustangs can stay. The stalls here are 12x12 as well but do not have an ajacent turnout. However these horses are turned out in one of the facilities pastures for the day and brought back in at night. Each stall has a fan for the warmer months, as well as lights for those wanting to keep a summer coat year round. Each stall has an automatic waterer and a slow feed net in order to keep horses occupied for longer periods of time. Outside the stalls are several hooks and a rail for placing halters, blankets etc. This barn has two wash stalls inside where you can tie or cross tie your horses, and a tack room. |

Occasionally a lesson will take place in a classroom vs getting hands on experience. This may be for a number of reasons, weather, the lesson isn't suited to it or personal choice on behalf of the instructor. For those times there are more converted shipping containers that have been converted to classrooms. Instructors are free to decorate as they see fit. |

A staple in horse training, Southern Woods stables is home to four round pens. Each round pen is six foot high and is sixty feet in diameter. All are made from heavy duty panels and are quite sturdy. |

As Southern Woods is still a growing facility there is only one outdoor arena at the moment. However it is plenty large at 150X300 for multiple riders to comfortably share. |

Southern Woods also has a few pastures available for horses to enjoy. There are 4 small individual turnouts that are 40x75. These smaller turnouts are for stalled horses for turnout and are individual only. However, there are also 3, 2 acre pastures that can be used for turnout and one large 10 acre pasture. This large pasture is for horses on pasture board. All of the larger pastures have a three sides shelter and have round bales for free choice hay in addition to grass. The smaller turnout paddocks have slow feed nets attached to the fence. |
